         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 14, 2003, and revised on  
         February 18, 2003, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on  
         General Government met in a public hearing and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Pickett, at 8:13 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Hamric; McClendon (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Crownover; Isett (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:59 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until the adjournment of the House,  
         February 19, 2003. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:53 a.m. and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Pickett. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Crownover; McClendon (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hamric; Isett (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 3:00 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed for a 15 minute break. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 3:21 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Pickett. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Crownover; Hamric; Isett;  
           
                   McClendon (5). 
          
         Absent:   None (0).
