Pursuant to a notice posted on April 17, 2003, and an
announcement made on the floor of the House on Wednesday, April
23th and April 24th, the House Committee on Agriculture &
Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the
chair, Representative Hardcastle, at 8:05 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Hardcastle; Brown, Betty; Burnam;
Swinford (4).
Absent: Representatives Miller; Jones, Delwin; Laney (3).
A quorum was present.

The chair recognized Representative Geren to explain the
measure.

The chair recognized Representative Geren to close on the
measure.
The bill was left pending without objection.

The chair laid out SB271.
The chair recognized Representative Swinford to explain the
measure.

The chair recognized Representative Dunnam to close on the
measure.
Representative Swinford moved that SB271, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hardcastle; Miller; Brown,
Betty; Swinford (4).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Burnam; Jones, Delwin; Laney
(3).
At 8:37 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
