The House Committee on Public Safety will meet in a Public Hearing to
discuss Interim Charge Number Three.  We are directed to gather information
related to state and local emergency planning preparedness for major
disasters, including emergency warning systems and large-scale evacuation
planning.  Also, to determine whether legislation is needed to protect life
and property and to detect, interdict and respond to acts of terrorism.
