The committee will meet to hear invited testimony from Mr. Larry Oaks
regarding the Texas Historical Commission.

The committee will also be hearing the following bills:

Relating to creation of the Texas Veterans Cemetery System.

HB 440            Madden / et al.
Relating to an uncontested election for a trustee of a library
district.

HB 995            Keel / et al.
Relating to the powers of a library district.

HB 1059            Pitts / et al.
Relating to state symbols and place designations adopted by the
legislature.

HCR 114            Delisi
Requesting the governing body of the proposed Texas Veterans
Cemetery System, contingent on legislation creating that system, to
locate the first cemetery in Bell County, on post at Fort Hood.
