         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 3, 2002, the House  
         Committee on Urban Affairs met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Carter, at 3:07  
         p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Carter; Burnam; Hill; Jones,  
                   Elizabeth; Najera (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Callegari; Edwards; Ehrhardt  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Committee met to discuss the Urban Affairs Committee Interim  
         Report and their Recommendations to the 78th Legislature.                             
          
         At 3:33 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
