         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 12, 2002, the House  
         Committee on Urban Affairs met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Carter, at 9:25  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Jones, Elizabeth; Najera (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Ehrhardt; Hill (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 12:00 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
