         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 15,  
         2001, the House Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Walker, at 6:55 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         The chair laid out SB 438. 
          
         Representative Brown, Fred offered a complete committee  
         substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Mowery moved that SB 438, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Walker; Brown, Fred; Geren;  
                             Krusee; Mowery; Turner, Bob (6).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

         The chair laid out SB 1398 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Turner, Bob offered a complete committee  
         substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
         Representative Geren moved that SB 1398, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
