         Upon final adjourn./recess

         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 26,  
         2001, the House Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Walker, at 6:03 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Walker; Crabb; Brown, Fred; Geren;  
                   Krusee; Mowery; Truitt; Turner, Bob (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Howard (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 517 
          
         The chair laid out SB 517 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Turner, Bob offered a complete committee  
         substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Brown, Fred moved that SB 517, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Walker; Crabb; Brown, Fred;  
                             Geren; Krusee; Mowery; Truitt; Turner, Bob  
                             (8).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representative Howard  (1).  
           
         At 6:05 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
