         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 9,  
         2001, the House Committee on House Administration met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Goolsby, at 1:05 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Giddings; Hawley; Maxey (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Allen; Bailey; Hamric; Jones, Delwin  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 2877 
          
         The chair laid out HB 2877. 
          
         Representative Chisum offered an amendment to the measure.  
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Geren moved that HB 2877, as amended, be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and  
         Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record  
         vote:

                             Chisum; Geren; Giddings; Hawley; Maxey (7).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).
