Pursuant to a notice posted on April 19, 2001, and twice revised
on April 24, 2001 to reflect a suspension of the 5-day posting
rule and time change so requested on the House floor by
Chairwoman Rangel, the House Committee on Higher Education met
in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Rangel, at 5:04 p.m.
