                                 CORRECTED MINUTES 
                                           
         On February 21, 2001, the House Committee on Elections  
         authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the  
         House Committee on Elections held on February 7, 2001. The  
         following are the corrected minutes for that meeting: 
          
         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 1, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Danburg, at 2:07 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Danburg; Jones, Jesse; Denny; Gallego;  
                   Madden; Wilson (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hodge; Sadler; Truitt (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         (Representative Truitt now present.) 
          
         HB 2 
          
         The chair laid out HB 2. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Gallego to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         (Representative Hodge now present.) 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Gallego to close on the  
         measure.  
          
         The bill was left pending without objection.  
          
         At 5:27 p.m., on the motion of Representative Denny and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the  
         chair.
