         Upon final adjourn./recess

         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 3, 2001,  
         the House Committee on Economic Development met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Solis, Jim, at 5:48 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Solis, Jim; Clark; Deshotel; Homer;  
                   Luna, Vilma; McClendon; Seaman; Yarbrough (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Keffer (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the March 21, 2001, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Economic Development be corrected. The  
         corrected minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         At 5:49 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
