Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 9,
2001, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Ramsay, at 1:10 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Ramsay; Lewis, Glenn; Brown, Betty;
Chisum; Krusee; Salinas; Shields (7).
Absent: Representatives Farabee; Hilderbran (2).
A quorum was present.
HB 370
The chair laid out HB 370 as pending business.
Representative Chisum offered a complete committee substitute.
Representative Shields offered amendment # 1 to the committee
substitute.
Representative Ramsay offered amendment # 2 to the committee
substitute.
The amendments were adopted without objection.
The committee substitute, as amended, was adopted without
objection.
Representative Salinas moved that HB 370, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Ramsay; Lewis, Glenn; Brown,
Betty; Chisum; Krusee; Salinas; Shields (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Farabee; Hilderbran (2).
The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into
a committee substitute.
HB 2477
The chair laid out HB 2477 as pending business.
Representative Chisum offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Ramsay moved that HB 2477, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Ramsay; Lewis, Glenn; Brown,
Betty; Chisum; Krusee; Salinas; Shields (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Farabee; Hilderbran (2).
At 1:17 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned until 8:00 a.m., April 11, 2001.
