Pursuant to a notice posted on March 15, 2001, the House
Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Haggerty, at 3:09 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Hopson; Ritter (6).
Absent: Representatives Ellis, Dan; Gray; Isett (3).
A quorum was present.
The Committee received tesitmony from Judge Mary Anne Bramblett
regarding Techincal Violations in Adult Probation. (See
attached witness list.)
The Chair announced that testimony from Dr. Tony Fabelo,
Director, Criminal Justice Policy Council posted for this date
has been rescheduled for March 27, 2001.
HB 1962
The chair laid out HB 1962.
The chair recognized Representative Kolkhorst to explain the
measure.

The chair recognized Representative Kolkhorst to close on the

Representative Gray offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Ellis, Dan moved that HB 1962, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
