         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 5, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education, met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Hochberg, at 8:58 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hochberg; Giddings; Mowery (3). 
         Absent:   Representatives Delisi; Gutierrez (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to discuss the 2002-2003 budget for Article  
         III. 
          
         (Representative Gutierrez now present.)(Representative Delisi  
         now present.) 
          
         At 9:45 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until adjournment of the House Floor,  
         March 6, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:58 a.m. and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hochberg; Giddings; Gutierrez; Mowery  
                   (4). 
         Absent:   Representative Delisi (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to discuss the 2002-2003 budget for Article  
         III. 
          
         At 1:20 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
