         Pursuant to a notice posted on July 1, 2002, the House Committee  
         on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Interim Charge #5, Return To  
         Work, met in a joint public hearing with the House Committee on  
         Pensions and Investments, and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Pitts, at 9:15 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pitts; King, Tracy; Maxey; Smith (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Giddings; Pickett; West, George "Buddy"  
                   (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Following members were present from the House Committee on  
         Pensions and Investments: 
         Representatives Tillery; Crownover; Goodman; Williams 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 11:05 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
