         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 24, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Regulatory, met in  
         a public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Pitts, at 8:08 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pitts; Allen; Hamric; King, Tracy;  
                   Moreno, Paul (5). 
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 9:48 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until adjournment of the House Floor,  
         January 31, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:34 a.m. and was called to order  
         by Representative Pitts. The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Hamric; King, Tracy (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.
