Amend CSSB 1156 as follows:
      (1)  In SECTION 3 of the bill, in proposed Section
32.0252(c), Human Resources Code (House committee printing, page 5,
line 18), strike "The" and substitute "Except as provided by
Subsection (d), the"
      (2)  In SECTION 3 of the bill, in proposed Section 32.0252,
Human Resources Code (House committee printing, page 5, between
lines 23 and 24), insert the following new Subsection (d) and
redesignate subsequent subsections accordingly:
      (d)  Notwithstanding Subsection (c), the commissioner may
apply for federal authorization to allow a designated employee of
an entity described by Subsection (a) to make a final determination
of eligibility or enroll an eligible person in the program.
