Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule
11.11, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health
Services was held on Tuesday, May 11, 1999, in the Capitol
Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. There
being a quorum present, the following business was transacted.
The following members arrived after the roll was called:
Senator Madla and Senator Lindsay.
The Chair laid out the May 4, 1999, and the May 7, 1999,
minutes and recognized Senator Moncrief who moved for their
approval. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by
unanimous consent.
