Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule
11.11, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on
Administration was held on Tuesday, May 18, 1999 in E1.714, at
Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:35 am. There being
a quorum present, the following business was transacted.
The following members arrived after the roll was called:
Senator Rodney Ellis
Senator Harris asked the members if there were any questions
or discussion on the bills listed for certification on the
list for the Local and Uncontested Calendar. There was
discussion. Senator Madla moved that the list of bills be
certified with the exception of HB 153 by Moncrief, HB 558
passed on floor, HB 908 by Zaffirini, HB 1018 by Sibley, HB
2148 by Moncrief, HB 2170 by Zaffirini and HB 3554 pulled by
the author.
There being no further business, at 9:00 am Senator Harris
moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of
the Chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
