         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 29,  
         1999, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Bill Carter at 3:35 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Carter; Burnam; Clark; Hill; Hodge;  
                   Najera (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Edwards; Ehrhardt (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HR 1048 
          
         The chair laid out HR 1048.   
          
         Representative Hodge moved that HR 1048 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Carter; Burnam; Hill; Hodge;  
                        Najera (5). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Bailey; Clark; Edwards;  
                        Ehrhardt (4). 
          
         At 3:45 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
