Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 30,
1999, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
Bill Carter at 3:25 pm.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Carter; Burnam; Edwards; Ehrhardt;
Hill; Hodge (6).
Absent: Representatives Bailey; Clark; Najera (3).
A quorum was present.
HB 2481
The chair laid out HB 2481 as pending business.
Representative Edwards offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Edwards moved that HB 2481, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion failed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Edwards; Ehrhardt; Hodge (3).
Nays: Representatives Carter; Hill (2).
Present not Voting: Representative Burnam (1).
Absent: Representatives Bailey; Clark; Najera (3).
The bill was left pending without objection.
SB 264
The chair laid out SB 264 as pending business.
Representative Carter offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Hill moved that SB 264, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion failed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Carter; Edwards; Hill; Hodge
(4).
Nays: Representatives Burnam; Ehrhardt (2).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Bailey; Clark; Najera (3).
The bill was left pending without objection.
At 3:30 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
