Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17,
1999, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
Clyde Alexander at 12:15 pm.

The chair laid out SB 836.
Representative Alexander offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Alexander moved that SB 836, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Alexander; Siebert; Davis,
Yvonne; Edwards; Hamric; Hawley; Noriega; Uher
(8).
Nays: None (0).

to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and

Representative Uher moved to reconsider the vote by which the
measure was reported from committee. The motion to reconsider
prevailed without objection.

be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent
Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following vote:

At 12:23 pm, on the motion of Representative Hawley and
