         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 25,  
         1999, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Steven Wolens at 1:28 pm.

         The chair laid out HR 1003.   
          
         Representative Danburg moved that HR 1003 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following  
         vote:

                        Merritt (8).

         The chair laid out HCR 271.   
          
         Representative Danburg moved that HCR 271 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following
