Pursuant to a notice posted on March 11, 1999, the House
Committee on State Recreational Resources met in a public
hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
Edmund Kuempel at 8:01 am.
The roll was answered as follows:

John; Ellis, Dan; Hope (6).
Absent: Representatives Crownover; Homer; Ritter (3).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 857.
The chair recognized Representative Bob R. Turner to explain
the measure.

(Representative Ritter now present.)
Representative Cook offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Bob R. Turner to explain
the differences between the measures.

The chair recognized Representative Bob R. Turner to close on
the measure.

The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.
The bill was left pending without objection.

The chair recognized Representative Bob R. Turner to explain
the measure.
Representative Cook offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Bob R. Turner to explain
the differences between the measures.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Homer moved that HB 1789, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Cook; Alexander; Davis, John;
Ellis, Dan; Homer; Hope; Ritter (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Kuempel; Crownover (2).
At 8:30 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
