         Upon adjournment

         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 21,  
         1999, the House Committee on Public Safety met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Bob Turner at 5:13 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner, Bob; Keel; Carter; Hupp;  
                   King, Phil; Najera (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Berman; Driver; Gutierrez (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the March 2, 1999 minutes for the  
         House Committee on Public Safety be corrected.  The corrected  
         minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         At 5:15 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
