         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 21, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Public Education, Subcommittee on Career and  
         Technology, met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Lengefeld, at 10:30 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Lengefeld; Olivo (2). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Oliveira (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The House Committee on Public Education, Subcommittee on Career  
         and Technology, met in a public hearing to discuss issues  
         realting to career and technical eduction. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 2:37 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
