         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20,  
         1999, the House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues  
         met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Toby Goodman at 12:47 pm.

         The chair laid out SB 1816.   
          
         Representative Isett moved that SB 1816 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent  
         Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Goodman; Pickett; Isett; King,  
                        Phil; Morrison; Naishtat; Truitt (7). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0).

         SB 644 
          
         The chair laid out SB 644.   
          
         Representative Goodman offered a complete committee  
         substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Pickett moved that SB 644, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:
