Pursuant to a notice posted on March 13, 2000, the House Interim
Committee on Judicial Affairs met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the acting chair, Representative Hartnett at
10:22 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representatives Thompson; Capelo; Solis, Jim (3).
A quorum was present.

objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:00 p.m., April 6,

The committee reconvened at 1:37 p.m. and was called to order by
the chair, Representative Thompson. The roll was answered as
