         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 11, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Human Services met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Elliott Naishtat  
         at 2:12 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Naishtat; Maxey; Chavez; Christian;  
                   Davis, John; Noriega; Truitt; Wohlgemuth (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Telford (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair introduced the committee members.  Chair described  
         the scope of the committee.   
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 3:56 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
