House Committee on Environmental Regulation 76th Legislature February 15, 1999 2:00 pm Capitol Extension, E2.014 CORRECTED MINUTES On April 16, 1999, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Environmental Regulation held on February 15, 1999. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting: Pursuant to a notice posted on February 10, 1999, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Warren Chisum at 2:10 pm. The roll was answered as follows: Present: Representatives Chisum; Allen; Kuempel; Palmer; Talton; Zbranek (6). Absent: Representatives Culberson; Dukes; Howard (3). A quorum was present. The Chair recognized Jeff Saitas, representing the TNRCC, to testify regarding a TNRCC overview. (Representatives Culberson; Dukes; and Howard now present.) The Chair recognized Israel Anderson, representing the TNRCC, to testify regarding an overview of environmental education. The Chair recognized Richard Ratliff, P.E., representing the Texas Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control, to testify regarding TDH. The Chair recognized Joseph L. Fuller, representing the Texas Dept. of Health, to testify regarding TDH. The Chair recognized Doug Bell, General Manager, Texas Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Authority, to testify regarding the agency. HB 801 The chair laid out HB 801. The chair recognized Representative Uher to explain the measure. The chair recognized Representative David Swinford to testify for the measure. Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)
