CORRECTED MINUTES
On April 21, 1999, the House Committee on Elections authorized
the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the House
Committee on Elections held on March 17, 1999. The following
are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to a notice posted on March 9, 1999, the House
Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called
to order by the Chair, Representative Debra Danburg at 2:00
pm.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Danburg; Denny; Gallego; Greenberg;
Hodge; Madden; Uher (7).
Absent: Representatives Jones, Jesse; Averitt (2).
A quorum was present.
HB 265
The chair laid out HB 265 as pending business.
Representative Denny offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Denny moved that HB 265, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Danburg; Denny; Gallego;
Greenberg; Hodge; Uher (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: Representative Madden (1).
Absent: Representatives Jones, Jesse; Averitt (2).
HB 833
The chair laid out HB 833 as pending business.
Representative Madden moved that HB 833 be reported favorably
to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and
be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent
Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Danburg; Denny; Gallego;
Greenberg; Hodge; Madden; Uher (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Jones, Jesse; Averitt (2).
