Pursuant to a notice posted on March 3, 1999, the House
Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called
to order by the Chair, Representative Debra Danburg at 2:10
pm.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Danburg; Jones, Jesse; Denny;
Greenberg; Hodge (5).
Absent: Representatives Averitt; Gallego; Madden; Uher (4).
A quorum was present.
The chair announced that bills with similar subject matter
would be laid out at the same time. Testimony on those bills
would also be taken at the same time.
