House Committee on County Affairs 
         76th Legislature 
         May 21, 1999 
         Upon adjournment 
         House Chamber 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 21,  
         1999, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Tom Ramsay at 7:30 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Ramsay; Lewis, Glenn; Brown, Betty;  
                   Chisum; Farabee; Hilderbran; Krusee; Swinford (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Salinas (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SJR4 
          
         The chair laid out SJR4 as pending business.   
          
         Representative Chisum offered a complete committee substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Swinford moved that SJR4, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Lewis, Glenn; Brown, Betty;  
                        Chisum; Farabee; Hilderbran; Krusee; Swinford  
                        (7). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      Representative Ramsay (1). 
          
         Absent:        Representative Salinas (1). 
          
         At 7:35 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
