         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 10, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Corrections met jointly with the House Committee  
         on Criminal Jurisprudence in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the Chair, Representative Pat Haggerty at 2:05 PM. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence was called to  
         order and took roll.

         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         Texas Youth Commission 
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles 
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         Texas Juvenile Probation Commission 
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 4:55 PM, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
