         Pursuant to an announcement on the floor of the House  
         suspending all necessary rules, and a notice posted on  
         February 8, 1999, the House Committee on Business & Industry  
         met in a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Kim Brimer at 2:07 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:     Representatives Brimer, Dukes, Corte, Ritter,  
                   Siebert, Woolley (6) 
          
         Absent: Representatives George, Giddings, Solomons (3) 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         This was the committee's organizational meeting. 
          
         Testimony was taken. 
          
         Representative George present at 2:10 pm. 
          
         Representative Giddings present at 2:35 pm. 
          
         At 4:47 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
