         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 18, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Article IX met in a work  
         session and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Scott Hochberg at 12:45 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hochberg; Delisi; Eiland; Glaze;  
                   Heflin; Pitts; Turner, Sylvester; West, George  
                   "Buddy" (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Cuellar (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee discussed provisions in Article IX. 
          
         At 2:00 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
