         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 11, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Article IX met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Scott Hochberg at 12:45 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hochberg; Cuellar; Eiland; Heflin;  
                   Pitts; West, George "Buddy" (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Delisi; Glaze; Turner, Sylvester  
                   (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 1:38 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
