         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 18, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Article IX met in a work  
         session and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Scott Hochberg at 12:00 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hochberg; Eiland; Heflin; Pitts;  
                   West, George "Buddy" (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Cuellar; Delisi; Glaze; Turner,  
                   Sylvester (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee heard testimony from the State Auditor's Office  
         regarding Article IX. 
          
         (Representatives Cuellar and Delisi now present.)   
          
         At 12:40 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
