         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 16, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Health & Human Services met  
         in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Bob Glaze at 8:20 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Glaze; Coleman; Eiland; Janek (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Hartnett (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

         At 9:50 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was  recessed until  
         11:00 am. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:30 am and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Glaze.  The roll was answered as  
         follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Glaze; Hartnett; Janek (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Eiland; Coleman (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 12:05 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned until 1:00 pm. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:10 pm and was called to order by  
         Representative Janek.   
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Eiland; Janek; Hartnett; (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Glaze; Coleman; (2). 
  
         A quorum was present.
