         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 17, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Regulatory met in a work  
         session and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Jim Pitts at 8:16 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Pitts; McReynolds; Moreno, Paul;  
                   Pickett (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Gutierrez (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         (Representative Gutierrez now present.)   
          
         The Subcommittee discussed pending budget items.  
          
         At 9:47 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until  
         1:00 pm. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:24 pm and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Pitts.  The roll was answered as  
         follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Pitts; McReynolds; Moreno, Paul;  
                   Pickett (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Gutierrez (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Subcommittee discussed pending budget items.

         At 5:04 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
