         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 24, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative David  
         Swinford at 8:03 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Crownover; Hardcastle (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:55 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed to reconvene upon adjournment of the  
         House, in E2.026. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:31 am and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative David Swinford.
