Pursuant to a notice posted on May 1, 1997, the House
Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a public hearing
and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Barry
Telford at 8:20 am.
The roll was answered as follows:

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1568.
The chair recognized Rep. Van de Putte to explain the measure.
Representative Woolley offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
The chair recognized Rep. Van de Putte to close on the
measure.
Representative Woolley moved that SB 1568, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
