House Committee on Pensions and Investments

         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 4, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Pensions and Investments met in a public hearing 
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Barry 
         Telford at 8:05 am.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Telford; Woolley; Serna; Tillery; 
                   Williams (5).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Berlanga; Goolsby; Rangel; Sadler (4).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         The Chairman Explained that this being an organizational 
         meeting, testimony would be taken from the agencies under the 
         Committee's jurisdiction.
         
         Representatives Berlanga, Goolsby, Rangel and Sadler now 
         present.
         
         At 8:47 am, on the motion of Representative Woolley and without 
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the 
         chair.
