         Pursuant to a notice posted on July 1, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water Impact  
         Statements met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the Chair, Representative Robert "Robby" Cook, at 9:10 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Counts; Cook (2). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Corte (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Water Impact Statements 
          
         The subcommittee considered testimony related to the House  
         Rules requirement that a committee chair send certain  
         legislation creating water districts to the Legislative Budget  
         Board for a water development policy statement. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 9:48 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
