Pursuant to a notice posted on March 12, 1997, the House
Committee on Human Services met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the Chair, Representative Harvey
Hilderbran at 1:34 pm.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Hilderbran; Naishtat; Chavez;
Christian; Krusee; Maxey; McReynolds; Wohlgemuth
(8).
Absent: Representative Davila (1).
A quorum was present.
Representative Krusee moved to submit corrected minutes
from hearings on February 24, 1997 and March 3, 1997. The
motion was seconded by Representative Maxey and so moved
without objection.
HB 606
The chair laid out HB 606.
The chair recognized Representative Zbranek to explain the
measure.
Representative Wohlgemuth offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Testimony was taken.
Representative Wohlgemuth moved that HB 606, as
substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with
the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be
sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The
motion prevailed by the following vote:
