         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 15, 1998, the House  
         Committee on State, Federal & International Relations met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Bob Hunter at 1:15 PM. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hunter; Chavez; Isett; Palmer;  
                   Seaman; West, George "Buddy" (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Moreno; Pitts; Wise (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken regarding the Texas State History Museum  
         and other areas of interest to the historical community.  (See  
         attached witness list.) 
          
         The committee discussed items to be included in its interim  
         report. 
          
         At 2:50 PM, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
