         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 17, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Environmental Regulation, Subcommittee on Local  
         Emergency Planning Committees met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Subcommittee Chair, Representative Mike  
         Jackson at 9:40 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Jackson; Kuempel; Talton (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Dukes; Puente (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Chair made opening comments. 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         The Chair directed the minutes to show that Representative  
         Dukes now present, and Rep. Bonnen was also in attendance. 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 12:25 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
