House Committee on Civil Practices

         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 14, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Civil Practices met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Patricia Gray at  
         12:10 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Gray; Bosse; Roman; Zbranek (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hilbert; Alvarado; Dutton; Goodman;  
                   Nixon, Joe (5). 
          
         Invited testimony was taken on the committee's interim charge  
         on class action litigation.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 1:35 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
