H.R. No. 575 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, April 22, 1993, is indeed a special day for our 1-2 esteemed colleague, the Honorable Ray Allen, and his lovely wife, 1-3 Debbie, for on this day they will celebrate their 11th wedding 1-4 anniversary; and 1-5 WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Representative Allen was 1-6 graduated from Abilene Cooper High School in 1969 and went on to 1-7 earn a bachelor of arts degree from American Christian College in 1-8 1974; and 1-9 WHEREAS, He is a dedicated civic leader in the community of 1-10 Grand Prairie and is active professionally as the founder and 1-11 president of American Cultural Traditions, Inc., a nonprofit 1-12 publishing group that serves as an umbrella organization for the 1-13 Teen Suicide Prevention Task Force, the American Coalition for 1-14 Life, Bibles East, the Washington Report, and a variety of other 1-15 worthy projects; and 1-16 WHEREAS, A respected member of the community in her own 1-17 right, Mrs. Allen is a former teacher who has devoted herself 1-18 throughout her marriage to creating a warm and loving home life for 1-19 her family; and 1-20 WHEREAS, In addition, Mrs. Allen works by her husband's side 1-21 in American Cultural Traditions, Inc., is an active member of 1-22 Vineyard Christian Fellowship, and has recently returned to college 1-23 to further her education; and 1-24 WHEREAS, The Allens take great pride in the achievements of 2-1 their children, Shaniel, Alicia, Michael, Charity, and Melissa, 2-2 their son-in-law, Jamie, and their beloved grandson, Ezekiel; and 2-3 WHEREAS, For 11 years, Mr. and Mrs. Allen have shared a 2-4 strong and lasting marriage filled with many happy times and 2-5 cherished family memories; built on a foundation of mutual love, 2-6 trust, and support, and devotion to their faith, their life 2-7 together has been a source of joy and inspiration for the many 2-8 friends and relatives of this fortunate pair; now, therefore, be it 2-9 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 2-10 Legislature hereby congratulate Representative and Mrs. Ray Allen 2-11 on the joyous occasion of their 11th wedding anniversary and extend 2-12 to them sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in 2-13 the years to come; and, be it further 2-14 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-15 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Allen as an expression of high regard by 2-16 the Texas House of Representatives. 2-17 the Texas House of Representatives. 2-18 Campbell 2-19 H.R.
